From a single vineyard in Gradil, Mafra, this tiny site of less than 0,5ha is on a south facing slope. The Atlantic influence - of typically cool mornings and hot afternoons - results in a wonderfully complex Riesling, highlighting the best parts of the Pfalz (Germany) and Clare Valley (Australia). The grapes are carefully selected and handpicked. Smooth pressing of whole bunches by pneumatic press to extract the best must. Fermented with indigenous yeasts. No sulphur additions. Fermented in a steel vat at low temperatures (12/14°C) to preserve the crisp, fresh fruit, character.
